Never have I experienced a writer's block when it is love that I'm writing about. I could spend every waking minute writing poems and sonnets and it will still not be enough. It took a LOT of convincing, but I'm finally sharing something that was shying away on my Notes, because we could all do a little dance and make a little love right about now, right? Here goes:
Being so in love, the kind of love that gives me butterflies in my stomach and a satiety in my heart, every damn day. Being so in love, the kind that holds my hand and shows me how much there is to be grateful for. Being so in love, it makes me feel like I can conquer anything. I didn't have to know anything about him to know that he was my soulmate. I knew it the moment I met him, because he pierced my soul; I knew I would spend every day of the rest of my life in a state of all-consuming love, delirious and dreaming in colors that don't exist. This is perhaps the kind of love that some would call sickening, nauseating, and obsessive. But all I know is that it's the most beautiful and majestic thing I've ever experienced and I wouldn't have it any other way. He is the love of my life, the love of my soul.
If that left you dizzy and dazed, let me help out a little by talking about this outfit. You may have guessed this already (seriously starting to lose my mystery aren't I?), this is the lehenga that goes with the brown blouse from my previous post! The pleats, the color, the tulle - everything about it screamed Valentine's Day, and naturally, I was on top of the world having a Carrie Bradshaw moment with those pointy fuchsia pumps. Clearly, I'm doing one thing right - dressing like I'm in love. Everyday. On another note, these gorgeous antique silver earrings will soon be coming to the store, as part of the Viva! Vintage collection. Stay tuned <3
I hope this mawkish blogpost added a little spark of love to your day. And if it did, may this spark ignite the greatest, equally sickening, nauseating, and obsessive love story there will ever be. Happy Valentine's Day!
