Serendipity. Yin-Yang. The Law of Attraction. Apologies if that sounded like a string of pretentious gibberish, but I promise I'm going somewhere with this.

There are countless moments in life that are so precious, you almost feel frustrated that they come without a pause button. But few are so momentous that you finally understand the value of a passing moment. Here are three such moments from my life that affirmed the belief that the universe rigs everything in your favor:
Exploring the emerging Fall/ Winter trend of stripes only way I know how to: power dressing!

With this post, I profess my love for two of the best things to happen to fashion: power dressing and crisp white clothes.
Rewind to India, circa 2007. With an iron box in one hand and a pleat-full in another, I am cringing at my middle school uniform. “The sleeves are too long and so is this ugly grey skirt,” I whine to my mother as she braids my hair and secures them with ribbons.
Disclaimer: This is in no way a definitive guide, but you may use it to set yourself up for a successful holiday season, and a work-life balance.
A little behind-the-scenes into how Miraya came to be
Block scheduling on a calendar may sound old-school, but it is the best productivity hack you need!
Repeat after me, decluttering = organization = motivation = productivity
Last week's post was all about why you need to become a morning person, and today, a handy guide to tell you how to achieve that.
We all tend to procrastinate at times and feel guilty later. But did you know procrastination could help boost productivity?
Disclaimer: This would only apply to you if you have a 9-to-5 schedule, and WANT to find a way to manage your day more efficiently.
Everyday, nearly 200,000 blogs are created. So what makes Miraya's special?
“Once in a while, it really hits people that they don’t have to experience the world in the way they have been told,” author and philosopher Ayn Rand once said. In my small life of 23 years, I have chased experiences and adventures that ended up being very rewarding, but I have also done extremely foolish things. With a little courage and enthusiasm, I learned that any experience can be valuable. I’m currently managing Shop Miraya, this blogzine, working as an Editor at MaharaniWeddings.com, and getting my MA in Fashion Journalism from the Academy of Art University. This is the happiest, healthiest, and the most employed I have ever been, fully aware of what direction I’m going in. I hope you find my insights on productivity, career, time management, mindfulness, and generally increasing your efficiency, useful. Needless to say, fashion and lifestyle content will take centerstage. :)
Lastly, this blog is special because it comes from a place of honesty and personal experiences, and the only benefit to me (other than the fact that I love writing) is knowing that somewhere, someone might be helped by my blog. You can read today's posts on Sabyasachi x Pottery Barn here, and 5 tips to stay productive all day, here.
Welcome to my happy place.

Miraya originated as a concept magazine for a Publishing class, but much of it now exists online and has been adapted for this blog. The core remains intact, and that is to explore the changing landscape of contemporary Indian fashion through the international lens, engaging readers in a creative juxtaposition between tradition and modernity. Spearheaded by Founder and Creative Director, Namrata Loka.
